Emergency Assistance

If you have what you consider to be a behavioral emergency, we may be able to help you.  It occasionally happens that a dog develops an unexpected behavior that is distressing or potentially dangerous to the dog, to you or to others.

Emergencies might be aggressive behavior where imminent jeopardy is expected or at least feared whether that involves dogs and humans or dogs and other animals.

“Urgent” situations while not true emergencies but are excessive behaviors which require fast resolution are often:

General aggression toward people or other animals

Excessive Barking

Urinating or Defecating in the house

Food or “resource” related Aggression

Excessive “Mouthing” or even biting

Continued Digging

Excessive Chewing or Destruction

Continual Attempts to Escape

Continual Jumping on People

Any of these are, in the least, annoying and often a reason to remove the dog from the home but can usually be resolved. We want to give you and your dog the best chance to “weather the storm” and we are almost always successful.
